HERA 2024 INTERNATIONAL GRANTS COMPETITION

Supporting Women Entrepreneurs to Counter Dangerous Migration

HERA France Association and HERA USA announce our 15th International
Grants Competition for women entrepreneurs from Armenia, Georgia,
Moldova, and Ukraine. Any woman entrepreneur from one of these four
countries, may apply for funding to buy equipment or to support other capital development costs. Previous Ukrainian HERA grantees who have restarted a venture in or outside Ukraine may also apply. The entrepreneur must demonstrate how HERA’s support will maintain and/or improve other young women’s employment. Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) and environmental ventures are particularly encouraged to apply. Subject to funding, grants averaging €700 (and ranging between €300 – €1000) will be offered to selected women entrepreneurs, who fit one or more of the following three categories:

1. Established business owners willing to train and employ young women, who do not have work or other means of economic support;
2. Young entrepreneurs who migrated, returned, and/or have organized
promising ventures that have operated for at least six months; and
3. Social entrepreneurs whose operations demonstrably increase young
women’s employment, well-being, and livelihoods.

The HERA Competition closes at midnight on Friday, May 10th. The preliminary selection of finalists will be completed by June 30th. Onsite and online assessments and awards will then be made from July through the end of October. Grant award winners may be featured on HERA’s social media.
